The State Council revised the regulation as "the Regulation for Joint Exploration of Onshore Oil"

On Sept 17th, 2007, The State Council had revised the regulation known as “the Regulation for Joint Exploration of Onshore Oil”. The revised version is “The joint exploration with foreign CBM investors will be exclusively managed by China United Coal Bed Methane Corporation (CUCBM), Ltd and other companies designated by The State Council”. The revised regulation had taken effective on Sept. 24, 2007. CUCBM used to be the only Chinese company allowed by Chinese government to cooperate with foreign CBM investors.
