The Guizhou CMM Workshop a Success!

Over 130 delegates attended the Guizhou CMM Recovery and Utilization Workshop on July 16 and 17 this year. The gathering met to discuss various issues related to coal mine methane recovery and utilization, the development of which promises to improve mine safety as well as reduce dangerous greenhouse gases. The esteemed participants included representatives from 33 Guizhou coal mines and other Guizhou supporting government agencies like the Guizhou bureaus of Enivronmental Protection and Coal Mine Safety, co-hosts of the workshop, and the Development Research Center. Other delegates included the United States Environmental Protection Agency, who provided funds for the workshop, China Coal Information Institute, and the International Energy Agency, as well as 24 other CMM development and financing companies. The workshop was organized by the Guizhou International Cooperation Center for Environmental Protection, under the Guizhou CMM Recovery and Utilization Initiative Project.
